Don't Go Walking Slow (in Forbidden Forest)

Format a floppy disk
Install it (type 'Install df0:' in the Shell)
Make a directory called 'S' on the disk
Using a text editor (le 'ed filename') type in the following text:
cd {directory} monkey_island Where {directory} is the location of the Monkey Island files on the hard drive Save this to the floppy disk as 'S/startup-sequence'
Now reboot the Amiga and be amazed at how quickly it loads!
All the savegame files are saved to the hard drive directory.

To run Monkey Island 2 repeat stages 1 to 3, but then copy the file 'S/startup-sequence' from the Monkey Island 2 Disk 1 to the S directory of the blank disk.
It will read something like:
Stake >nil: 5000 run >nil: <nil Monkey2 >nil: <nill: endcli >nil:
Edit the file, adding the following text between lines one and two:

When Guybrush enters the swamp area, a spooky melody starts to play. When he climbs into the nearby canoe, a faint backing tune is added. As he paddles off towards a mysterious shack a slow drumbeat starts, and when he finally enters the shack, the whole tune comes to a crescendo. Should the player deviate from this course (doubling back on himself for example) the music will rise and fall accordingly.
